With more than 20 years dedicated to road safety and mobility and with a vocation for public service demonstrated by her extensive professional development in the Community of Madrid. She is Deputy Director General of Road Safety and Conservation in the General Directorate of Roads, of the Regional Ministry of Housing, Transport and Infrastructures of the Community of Madrid, and she also teaches in different masters as a specialist in road safety.
He began his professional career in road maintenance in a private company, to later dedicate himself exclusively to road safety and mobility tasks. His professional development has been mostly within the Administration, where he has promoted and implemented road safety management in a road network as complex as that of the Community of Madrid and is currently introducing a direct approach to Road Safety in the Conservation using digitisation and new technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, to improve the management of the road network.
In recent years, it has been developing the necessary tools for the Community of Madrid to improve road safety in a more efficient way, taking into account not only the infrastructure but also the human factor and the vehicle, i.e. all the factors involved in accidents. It should be noted that he has promoted the creation of an Interdepartmental Road Safety Commission in the region and the drafting of a Road Safety Strategy, which for the first time will be multi-sectoral and cross-cutting in nature.
She is a prominent member of the Road Safety Committee of the Technical Association of Roads (ATC), where she has led several Working Groups throughout the almost 15 years of participation in this Association.
She is also Chair of the Road Safety Working Group of the Spanish Road Association’s (AEC) Committee of Directors General of Autonomous Communities and Provincial Councils.
